Dental Hygiene & Cleaning

Maintaining your dental hygiene is not only essential in preventative measures but also vital to your oral health. A regular check-up will provide you with dental care and may be able to detect early signs for any serious issues.

Our dental cleaning procedures include fluoride treatment, using a comprehensive set of tools to deep clean your gums and surface of your teeth. The procedure is targeted at plaque, tartar, bacteria and stain removal.

Fillings: White Color (Composite)

A white filling material, corresponding to the color of your teeth, supporting aesthetic dental restorations.

Composite resin is mainly used for dental bonding for the front teeth and filling dental cavities. Advantages for composite is the blending with its natural appearance, and with it’s easier bonding process, less tooth structure needs to be removed. Composite is a good choice when decay is minor.

Fillings: Silver Color (Amalgam)

A silver filling material, supporting aesthetic dental restoration. Amalgam is mainly used for dental bonding and filling cavities.

Advantages of amalgam filing is they are less susceptible to recurrent decay, more durable (lasts about 10-15 years), withstand forces of chewing, less expensive than composite fillings.

Whitening: In office (Spa-Dent, Sensitivity-Free)

We can produce dramatic teeth whitening results that are sensitivity-free.

This whitening procedure removes Organic stains and discolorations primarily caused by tobacco, coffee, wine, aging or certain eating habits.

Whitening: Take Home Bleaching Trays

The take-home bleaching trays allows you to get whitening results at the convenience of your own home.

They are customized to you making them more effective than the average over-the-counter teeth whitening products. Whitening your teeth can dramatically change the way your smile looks. They can be used on its own or together with the in-office teeth whitening for exceptional results. Noticeable results usually become more apparent after two to four weeks.

Preventative Services

We offer a comprehensive preventative dentistry services to reduce or stop dental cavities, gum diseases and tooth loss before they happen.

Examples of preventative services include:

  • Regular check-ups and examination
  • Regular cleaning

  • Sealants
  • X-rays
  • Diet
  • Protecting teeth from injury
  • Home oral hygiene care

During teeth extractions, we do our best to make it a quick and painless procedure while keeping you comfortable.

Dental extractions are necessary for a number of reasons:

  • Misalignment of teeth
  • Wisdom teeth
  • Decay or damage
  • Crowded mouth (preparation for orthodontics)
  • Infection or risk of infection
  • Gum disease
  • Trauma
  • Loose teeth

Root Canals (Endodontics)

We offer services in endodontics designed to preserve your oral health.

When the pulp (the blood or nerve supply of the tooth) is infected from injury, damage or decay, it needs to be removed. Common causes may be a cracked tooth, deep cavity, or injury to a tooth. The remaining space is cleaned, shaped and filled. Root canal treatment saves many teeth that otherwise could be lost. Pain may not be felt in the early stages of the infection, but your tooth may darken in colour, which may represent the nerve of the tooth has died (or dying).

Night Guards/Mouth Guards

Mouth guards are coverings worn over teeth when needed to protect them during sports activities. Night guards will help protect your teeth from grinding during sleep.

Several types of mouth guards are available, but a properly fitted one is essential for prevention and protection. Night guards prevent damages caused from grinding your teeth during sleep. Mouth Guards prevent damage to teeth during sports activities.

Oral Sedation

Oral sedation is used to reduce anxiety and pain for our patients.

We offer sedations administered orally or sublingually (under the tongue). We ensure our clients will feel safe and comfortable. Sedative medication can help relax and reduce the sense of pain by calming the central nervous system making it less sensitive. We especially recommend sedation for young children that are nervous about needles.
